Women Entrepreneurship: Definitions

Government of India – “A woman entrepreneur is defined as an enterprise owned and controlled by a woman having a minimum financial interest of 51 percent of the capital and giving at least 51 percent of the employment generated in the enterprise to women.”
This is the time that we have to stand out and stretch our hands for them to stand out and achieve everything
Challenges Faced by Rural Women and Girls
1. Limited Access to Education2. Health Disparities
Rural women and girls often lack access to quality healthcare services, leading to higher maternal mortality rates and limited reproductive health options.
According to the World Health Organization, more than 800 women die every day from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth, with the majority of these deaths occurring in rural areas.
3. Economic Inequality
Rural women often engage in subsistence farming or informal labor, facing unequal pay, limited access to credit, and little ownership of productive resources.
According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), if women had equal access to resources as men, agricultural yields could increase by 20-30%, potentially lifting 100-150 million people out of hunger.
